This hand-colored map shows platted additions and subdivisions, ward boundaries, schools, churches, railroads, cemeteries, parks, businesses, factories, and the Mississippi and Black River. The map reads: "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1884 by H.I. Bliss in the Office of Librarian of Congress". An inset map shows a copy of the plats of the U.S. Surveys within the limits of the city of La Crosse and lands adjoining upon the west in township number sixteen of range number seven west, list of plats in order of date of record, map of B. S. Reppy’s outlots to the village of La Crosse (vacated), laws which vacate plats, plats not shown as upon the county records, description and contents of the tracts of land, alphabetical index of plats, plat of E. D. Clinton and Blackwell’s addition to the city of La Crosse (partly vacated).
