Elsa was the daughter of Conrad Seipp, Chicago brewer and builder of Black Point Estate. Alfred was the son of another prominent Chicago brewer, Fridolin Madlener. They made their home on Chicago's Gold Coast and had a summer home adjacent to Black Point. |
