Hamilton Standard Propeller Logo

Logo of the Hamilton Standard Propeller Company. Thomas Hamilton of Milwaukee began manufacturing propellers during the 1920s. In 1929 Boeing purchased Hamilton's propeller and metal plane companies. Later the propeller company merged with the Standard Steel Adjustable Propeller Company (another Boeing acquisition) to form Hamilton Standard. During World War II, Hamilton Standard and its licensees manufactured over 500,000 aircraft propellers. Since 1999 the company has been known as Hamilton Sundstrand. |
