Folder title: "Cars and Trucks: "Similars" (AD-40587-E) From Jim Allen: "1977 Scout II (100 inch wheelbase) with Rallye Package jumped over a "whoop-de-doo." 1977 was the year International began officially supporting four desert racing teams, so their advertising became a little more active and sporting. Here, a red 1977 Scout II with the Rallye Package is photographed for advertising purposes being jumped over a whoop-de-doo (A.K.A. a "whoop"). This is an early 1977 Rallye because it has the big off-road tires on the chrome Rallye wheels, an option that was phased out around February of 1977 in favor of a package that used white spoked wheels." |
