From Jim Allen: "This is one of many conceptual drawings that led up to the Scout. Development of the International Scout took place on two levels. Early on Royalite (a type of plastic) body was envisioned but the high costs of production drove them to a more conventional steel body. The material used dictated the design, so the design changed when the construction materials did. This rendering is from April 15, 1959, and shows a Roadster concept in Royalite." |
