First Avenue Auto Garage
The First Ave Auto Garage, which seems to be an auto sales showroom, at 509 First Avenue in the S. Sixth Street neighborhood of Walker's Point is featured in this photograph. There are a number of automobiles on the street and even on the sidewalk with men sitting in the cars and pausing on the street to view them. Above the Auto Garage is the office of Dr. Johnson, Physician and Surgeon. Next door is Jac Lemmer's Place, a 'Sample Room'. The sidewalk is paved, the street is dirt, and there are streetcar rails in the lower right corner. |
