Watch the Modern Drugstore Grow
View the from the street of a building being remodeled to accommodate two businesses: a drugstore on the ground floor and a postal sub-station on the second floor. The drugstore at 508 First Avenue, bought by Ernst Krembs in 1908, has a large billboard that says "Watch the Modern Drug Store Grow, Where Quality Counts, Will Also Have a Complete Line of Homeopathic Remedies, Trusses and Medical Supplies." In the window there is a display for the Pabst Extract, "For Perfect Health from Childhood to Old Age." The second floor postal sub-station has two signs. One says "Send Telegrams from Here," the other says "Pay Water, Tax and Gas Bills Here." The side of the building announces that the sub-station will be established July 1. |
