Outdoor Science at Black Earth Creek
Two teen boys and an adult stand in ankle deep Black Earth Creek (west of Cross Plains) while working together to build a "V" shaped conversion dam, pointing down stream, in the creek bed. The boys are from West and East High Schools of Madison and are taking a five-week outdoor science course under the direction of the Wisconsin Conservation Department. They are Dick Snyder, Bob Walker, and Eddie Hillenbrand. They are holding rocks and applying the finishing touches to the dam. |
