Daniel Wells Jr. emigrated to Wisconsin from Maine prior to 1848. He was a grain and lumber merchant in Milwaukee. Wells Avenue and the Wells block in Milwaukee are named for him. |

Oval embossed mat. The portrait was presented to the Society in 1959, by Miss Adelaide C. Judkins of Hastings, Minnesota. She was the daughter of an employee (a grain buyer) of Daniel Wells. |
