Pennsylvania Airlines Schedule

A schedule for the Milwaukee-Detroit route of Pennsylvania Airlines. Pennsylvania Airlines, founded in 1931, became the successor to the "bridge across Lake Michigan" route when it purchased the Kohler Aviation Company. Unlike Kohler, which had flown Loening amphibians across the lake, PA flew 12-seat Ford Tri-Motors, which, they assured passengers, would fly "fully loaded, using any two of the three motors." Other routes flew Lockheed Electras and "3-minute-a-mile Boeings." In 1936, Pennsylvania merged with Central Airlines to become Pennsylvania Central Airlines; in 1948, PCA became Capital Airlines. |
