Joy,the brother of the owner of The Joy Camps, Barbara Ellen Joy. A building and Adirondack chair are in the near background, to the left. The child is wearing a hat and holding a flower up to its face. Original caption notes: "In late July Miss Joy's brother, Lt. E.H. Joy of the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy, visited camp with his family on his way from the Naval Air Station at Lakehurst to sea duty in the Pacific. He gave the campers a most interesting and instructive talk on the history and present status of lighter-than-air craft." |
