Bruno and Blythe had been hired by the Wright Aeronautical Company, manufacturer of the engine that powered the "Spirit of St. Louis," to protect and advise the aviator before and after his flight. This rare picture was taken during a pre-flight photo shoot to which Blythe brought the unidentified chorus girl as a joke. Note that Lindbergh is wearing the same jacket in the portrait in Image ID: 11777. Surprisingly, despite the public acclaim that Lindbergh received following the flight, the young woman never came forward to identify herself. |
