Lighting the Capitol Christmas Tree

U.S. Representative David Obey, his wife Joan and their son Douglas pose with Connie G. Hicks (with guitar) and U.S. Representative Tom Petri. Between Douglas and Joan is a large wreath decorated with red bows and pine cones. Douglas flipped the switch to light the Capitol Christmas tree. Connie sang a Wisconsin version of "Oh Christmas Tree." The song "Christmas Spirit," a composition by Medford, Wisconsin's Bill Herrick was also sung by Nashville singer Julie Koblish, (she may be the woman on the right). |
