Madison's Royal Airport Office

The U.S. airmail radio operator at Royal Airport in Madison. During the 1920s Madison had two airports: the Madison Airport (aka the North Street Airport) and Royal Airport, which was south of Monona and which was established by Howard Morey in 1926. Morey used the name Royal Airport as a result of a partnership with Royal Transit Co. to provide commuter air service between Madison and Chicago. |
