Hawksworth Ice Cream Parlor
A group of five young women sit at tables in the Hawksworth Ice Cream Parlor. The woman in the center has been identified as Josephine Edith McEvoy (later Mrs. E.C. Oakes). Bright light from the large plate glass windows and front door behind the women creates dramatic shadows within the parlor. Ferns and palm trees decorate the room. Calvin Hawksworth, the establishment's owner, looks on from behind the counter. A large soda fountain with a mirror is behind him. A child-size set of two chairs and a table are just in front of the counter. |
