058 - Three Sailboats, with Campers, on Lake
Exterior view of several campers handling three sailboats on a lake. Reflection of the sails are captured on the surface of water. The far shoreline is in the background. There is a raft floating in the water behind the sailboat on the right. Original caption notes: "Sailing was added to our list of water activities in 1933, and it has been exceptionally popular. Our boat is a Snipe, with Genoa jib. Although safe, it is a sporty little boat, and campers who wish may learn all the details of handling a boat of this type. Needless to say, the Snipe is at its moorings only at mealtimes!" |
