Minutes after finishing their record-breaking flight around the world (in 7 hours and 28 minutes), Howard Hughes and the four aviators who flew with him were mobbed by the public at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn. Hughes is at the microphone; his Lockheed 14-N Super Electra, equipped with two large Wright Cyclone engines, is parked in the background. |
