First Methodist Church Pageant
The Three Wise Men in the Christmas pageant at First Methodist Church will wear silk-embroidered robes which came from a Buddhist monastery in China. The robes belong to Eva Brewster who bought them from a curio dealer in Foochow, China where her late husband, Francis Brewster, was an exporter, importer, and banker. Donald Wilkinson, lay leader of First Methodist Church, and Vera Gurland model the robes. The third robe is held by Eva Brewster. |
