Hillsboro Mill
View from dirt road of a group of people (possibly employees) standing around the loading dock of the Hillsboro Mill. There is a steep, snow-covered hill in the background. In 1865, locals Edward Klopfleisch, Otto Hammer, John Mollinger, and Ambrose Armbruster built the first grist mill in Hillsboro. These men and their families operated the mill until it was sold to the Vernon County Milling Company in 1908. |
