Ladies in Pink Auxiliary at St. Mary's Hospital
Joan Beyer (left), a patient at St. Mary's Hospital, receives a plant from Mary Kretschman, chairman of the new flower and mail service of the Ladies in Pink Auxiliary. With them is Marion Pride, co-chairman. The auxiliary, a non-sectarian volunteer group, began during the war, gradually disbanded, and was reactivated in 1950. |
