NCAA Boxing Tournament
Wisconsin's Charles Mohr and Stu Bartell of San Jose State in their bout during the NCAA boxing tournament at the University of Wisconsin field house. The 165 lbs. fight was stopped in the second round by referee John O'Donnell of Davenport, Iowa, giving the championship to Bartell. Mohr collapsed after the fight and was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery for a brain hemorrhage. He died on April 17. |
