Photo is mislabeled on back as June 1957 - Little Rock. The students are not the Little Rock Nine and the building is not Little Rock Central. The notable integration crisis in Little Rock would not begin until September of 1957. Corroborating photograph found in Odessa American September 11, 1956. The September 6, 1956, issue of the Daily Globe identified the nine students as Shirley Beasley, Margaret Garnett, Kenneth Hayden, Jane Howard, James Beasley, Dudley Bishop, Kenneth Greenwell, Nathaniel Dixon, and Tommy Dixon. |
