Cicero Field, which was the largest airport in the country during its day, was a loan to the Chicago Aero Club from Harold McCormick, a Chicago aviation enthusiast. During 1912 Cicero Field hosted part of the 1912 International Air Meet. This picture shows a row of hangars along the edge of the field and a small group of planes on the ground. |
