Rico Carty finished second to Dick Allen of Philadelphia in Rookie of the Year balloting. This was expected to be the final home game for the Braves at Milwaukee County Stadium. A deal to move the team to Atlanta for the 1964 season was temporarily blocked by a lawsuit filed by team shareholder, Bud Selig. The Braves played one more season in Milwaukee before relocating to Atlanta in 1966. |
