Editorial Staff of the Milwaukee Journal
Two men sitting at desks in the editorial room of the Milwaukee Journal. The room was decorated by a newspaper staff artist. At left, the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet; at right, a "Katzenjammer," a seated man with a cat beside him and his foot, swollen with gout, resting on a stool while a monkey (above the door) tickles his head with a head of barley. The room was eventually destroyed by fire. |
