This map is a bird’s-eye-view of South Milwaukee reproduced in the Oak Creek Pictorial of July 6, 1977. The map was originally published in an unidentified promotional booklet circa 1893. The map reads: "WIDE OPEN SPACES characterized the city of South Milwaukee in 1893. The business district and Bucyrus-Erie Co. have grown considerably since the South Milwaukee Co., headed by William H. Williams, Fred Rogers, Fred Mansfield and George Van Norman used this view in a promotional booklet." |
