As it neared completion, Walter Scott of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources [and clerk Sandra Steffen] dramatize its bulk by putting it on the scales. The DDT words, pro and con, weighed in at 40 pounds. The transcript will be available to the public on Oct. 15. Complete set will cost $675." |
