![Poster in support of the People's War in Peru, which began in 1980. The war was instigated by a Maoist political group within Peru known as the Shining Path. The Shining Path boycotted the 1980 Peruvian election and began a campaign of guerilla warfare on May 17, 1980.<p>Poster shows a painting of a mountain with the title as a slogan. On the side of the mountain, several fires form the image of a crossed hammer and sickle, an international symbol of communist movements and the official symbol of the Shining Path.
