Taken on logging railroad, Lakeshore and Eastern Railroad, owned and operated by the Kneeland-McLurg Lumber company, Phillips, Wisconsin. Photograph is taken about 20 miles east of Phillips, in Emery Township.

This is locomotive number 80, serial number 1549, built by the Pittsburgh Locomotive Works (shipped April, 1895) for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. Number 80 was purchased by the John R. Davis Lumber Company in 1909, and in August 1912, the Davis Lumber Company, its logging railroad, and all equipment was sold to the Kneeland-McLurg Lumber Company. It was scrapped in 1932.

DESCRIPTION
