Ohnstein Cottage
View from water of a child playing near a playpen on the lawn of a one and one-half story cottage on a slope along the shore of a lake. There is a stone seawall, chimney and foundation. A pier with benches and a diving board is in the foreground. A birdhouse for purple martins is mounted on a tall pole at the shoreline. On the reverse of the photograph is written "Private owned summer home four miles east of Eagle River on Cranberry Lake, Eagle Chain. Only native rock of this region was used in construction. Home owned by S. Ohnstein of Chicago." |
