IH 624 Diesel Tactor and Rice Thresher in the Philippines
This photograph was likely taken by the International Harvester Overseas Division for promotional purposes, and shows a man driving an International Harvester 624 tractor while two other men work a rice thresher. The men are dressed in pants, long sleeve shirts, and hats. The tractor model is on the front of the tractor and has the "McCormick" and "IH" insignia. The original caption reads: "McCormick International 624 Diesel Tractors in wetland preparation for rice culture, unhusked rice (palay) threshing, and sugarland preparation. Scenes such as those shown in the accompanying pictures are common in the Philippines, an agricultural country, whose principal crops include rice and sugar." |
