Mission Church

The Catholic church of St. Francis Solanus is located on the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation. The church was built 1923-1924 of native pipestone under the supervision of Fr. Philip Gordon. The simple structure has small windows and a large square tower in front. There is a trellis at the entrance and wooden crosses in the graveyard in the foreground. |
