Souvenir Menu for Dinner for Kletzsch, Ott, and Kremer

First and last pages of the souvenir menu for a dinner by Mr. Edward A. Uhrig to Mr. Alvin P. Kletzsch, Mr. Emil H. Ott, and Mr. Waldemar Kremer at Republican House. There is a cartoon of the three returning travelers dressed in suits, monogrammed suitcases in hand and wearing hats at a jaunty angle, disembarking from a ship and walking down the gangway, followed by two other passengers. "Welcome" in large letters and a tankard imprinted with the toast "Prosit," a sausage link, and a beet adorn the bottom of the cartoon. The last page features a large framed space for signatures of guests, with a figure in military uniform, boots, and a helmet imprinted with "WmII." A crowd of men and women in suits, coats, dresses, and hats rushes toward his outstretched hand, while a photographer captures the scene. The caption at the bottom reads, "In Germany." Above the eagle on top of Wm II's helmet are the words, "Willkommen meine lieben Milwaukee'r." The initials "KG" appear at the bottom of both cartoons. Printed in brown and ochre inks on cream laid stock. |
