United Community Chest Headquarters
A check in the amount of $238,500 for the purchase of the old United Community Chest headquarters at 14 West Johnson Street was presented to Chest officials by the officials of Bethel Lutheran Church. From left to right are, John J. Jenswold, attorney for the church; the Reverend Morris Wee, pastor of the church; R. A. Eissfeldt, past president of the Community Chest; Francis J. Bowman, chairman of the Chest building committee; Ralph W. Metz, executive secretary of the Chest; Ted Meloy, Community Chest president; Lars M. Hanson, church president; Warren A. Hedlin, church secretary and Frank A. Ross Jr., attorney for the Chest. |
