Visit of Henry May, Member of the New Zealand Parliament
Portrait of Henry May, member of the New Zealand Parliament. May was a guest of the U.S. State Department and visited and spoke in several cities and in congress. In Madison, May spoke of New Zealand's free hospitalization program and said American opposition to a government health program was due not to prejudice against "socialized" medicine, but rather that pressure groups had prevented it. |
