Fire Damage at Robert Hall Store

Burned hangers and shredded clothing hang on four clothing display racks inside the remains of the Robert Hall store after a fire. Three fire fighters are standing in the background. The original caption states, "Melted coat hangers are all that remains of the clothing inventory at the Robert Hall store, 3205 East Washington Avenue, following the fire early Saturday that caused $80,000 to $100,000 damage. Caused by a faulty ceiling gas heater, the flames burned a hole 15 feet in diameter in the building's roof." |
