The soldier's names are, (top, left to right) Corporal Jim Malliares of Lowell, Massachusetts, Corporal John Binkham of Woolwich, Maine, Sergeant John Rees of Waukesha, Wisconsin, (hatch, left to right) Corporal Franklin Rupnow of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Corporal Edward Gaudette of Nashua, New Hampshire. The tank has some art painted on the turret of a hand, and a devil's head with horns with the number 2 painted on it, on the upper right. Trees are in the background. |

| Robert Doyle was a civilian war correspondent for the Milwaukee Journal during World War II, covering the experiences of Wisconsin troops in the 32nd "Red Arrow" Division, an infantry division of the United States Army National Guard. The "Red Arrow" Division consisted mainly of soldiers from Wisconsin and Michigan. |
