Gordon Coons: Fri. July 12, Sat. July 13 &Sun. July 14 | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Join Gordon Coons at the Madeline Island Museum where he will demonstrate his art of printmaking and teach you how to make a print! Gordon Coons' heritage is Ojibwa from Lake Superior Chippewa Band of Wisconsin and Ottawa from Michigan. Now living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gordon is an enrolled member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe of northern Wisconsin.
Gordon is a self taught artist, creating works in a variety of mediums including linoleum block prints, paintings, pen and ink, creations in stone and wood and assembled sculptures. Although his artwork is more contemporary, each piece portrays a unique view of traditional native stories.
Pat Kruse: Sat. August 10 & Sun. August 11| 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Join Pat Kruse at the Madeline Island Museum where he will demonstrate creating his birchbark art.
Pat is a member at Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, and a descendent of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Onamia, Minnesota. An accomplished and awarding winning Ojibwe birchbark & quillwork artist & culture teacher. Pat has spent his life maintaining traditional Ojibwe basketry and teaching workshops to all people willing to learn.

- The site will remain open rain or shine, except on a gale day.
- Unredeemed tickets can be used on another date in the case of a gale day.
- No pets are allowed. Service animals are permitted.
- Because of the historic nature of the buildings, not all areas are ADA accessible.
