Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. The instructor will meet participants at the Ramsey Barn Museum Store.
Lunch is provided with the workshop.
Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Historic buildings at Old World Wisconsin do not have modern heating/cooling systems and working with a forge can be very hot during the summer.
Big things are coming—and history is being made—in 2024! Construction will take place at the main entrance throughout the season to create an even better, more comprehensive Old World Wisconsin guest experience. This will not impact visitor hours or detract from current events, locations and activities.
The Ramsey Barn Museum store is open daily and remains open 30 minutes after grounds close.
Guests may exit and return throughout the day.
Restrooms and water fountains are available on site.
The grounds will remain open rain or shine.
Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and to dress for the weather.
No pets are allowed. Service animals are permitted.
Because of the historic nature of the buildings, not all areas are ADA accessible. Old World Wisconsin is committed to reviewing accessibility needs and improving access for all. Guests arriving in wheelchairs and electric scooters are offered complimentary admission. Guests with additional mobility needs are encouraged to contact the site directly at 262-594-6301 or oww@wisconsinhistory.org.
