About the Event

Gather ‘round the long table for a communal, open air, farm-to-table feast highlighting the Kettle Moraine’s

autumnal bounty, with locally sourced produce, wine, camaraderie and warm spirits. As the weather cools and the leaves change, Chef Jeff Mallegni will prepare a delightful dinner celebrating Wisconsin’s agricultural heritage and incorporating vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from Wade House’s own gardens. Begin with charcuterie highlighting locally cured meats and artisanal cheeses, feast on a lemon ginger cider brined pork tenderloin with a rum cider glaze and top it off with a rustic apple galette. Wash it all down with menu-inspired mocktails and cocktails. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend.

Adult (18-64): $150
Senior (65+): $150

Advanced registration is required. Guests must be 18+ to attend.

Menu:

Local Charcuterie: Featuring an assorted variety of locally cured meats, specialty cheeses, locally preserved foods and artisanal breads and crackers.

LeClare Farms Goat cheese and Roasted Beet Salad: Goat Cheese, Roasted Beets, local apples, and Wisconsin grown hazelnuts served on a bed of fresh greens and lightly dressed with a local honey vinaigrette.

Lemon Ginger Cider Brined Pork Tenderloin with a Rum Cider Glaze: House brined locally raised pork tenderloin fire roasted with a Door County Distillery Rum and Cider Reduction.

Toasted Hazelnut Green Beans: Locally harvested green beans, finished with a slightly sweet and umami rich Asian inspired sauce that features Wisconsin grown hazelnuts.

Oven Roasted Root Vegetables: Locally grown potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and turnips oven roasted with a hint of local maple syrup.

Apple Galette: A rustic, open-faced take on Apple Pie with a tender, flaky pie crust, local apples, homemade caramel sauce, and home-made vanilla ice cream.

- Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend.

- The museum store is open daily during business hours.

- Restrooms and water fountains are available on site.

- The site will remain open rain or shine.

- Guests are encouraged to wear good walking shoes and to dress for the weather.

- No pets are allowed. Service animals are permitted.

- Because of the historic nature of the buildings, not all areas are ADA accessible.

About the Location

Explore the horse-powered world that existed before planes, cars, and railroads at Wade House. Here the golden era of carriages lives on forever, with historic structures and a state-of-the-art museum highlighting all its wonders. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade, the first European settlers of Greenbush. The site is also home to a blacksmith shop, sawmill, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons.
