Leach, Eugene Walter 1857 - 1938 | Wisconsin Historical Society

Racine County historian, author, b. Excelsior, Minn. He moved with his family to Racine in 1859. There he attended the common schools and in 1894 became agent for the Aetna Life Insurance Company, a position which he held for many years. He was in charge of the Racine County museum from 1933 until his death, and was the author of The Methodist Church and Early Racine (1912), Racine County Militant (1915), and many newspaper articles on the history of Racine County.
