lawyer, politician, businessman, b. Germantown, Washing-ton County, Wis. He moved to Wausau in 1888, read law, and was admitted to the bar in 1890. He set up a law practice in Wausau, and in 1901 formed the law firm of Kreutzer, Bird, Rosenberry, and Okeneski. A Republican, he was district attorney of Marathon County (1895-1899) and state senator (1899-1906). In 1904 he was an organizer of the Wisconsin Valley Trust Co., and served as president of this company (1904-1931). As his business interests increased, Kreutzer gradually withdrew from the active practice of law. He was a stockholder in the Mosinee Paper Mills Co., and in 1923 was one of the organizers of the Tomahawk Kraft Paper Co. He was secretary-treasurer of this firm (1923-1925), president (1925-1942), and chairman of the board (1942- 1944). J. G. Gregory, ed., W. Central Wis. (4 vols., Indianapolis, 1933); L.
