brewer, b. Dornassenheim, Wetterau, Germany. He learned the brewer's trade in Germany. In 1870 he migrated to the U.S. and in 1873 settled in Milwaukee where he was employed by the Phillip Best Brewing Co. In 1879 he left this firm and formed a partnership with Ernst Borchert that grew into the Falk, Jung&Borchert Brewing Co. This company was purchased by the Pabst Brewing Co. (successor to Best) in 1892. In 1896 Jung organized the Jung Brewing Co. and was its president until his death. He was prominent in several other Milwaukee enterprises. T. C.
