Origin of Goerke's Corners, Wisconsin
Formerly Blodgett; named for Frederick Goerke, blacksmith, wagonmaker, and innkeeper. A post office was located there (under the name Blodgett) from 1885 to 1895, with Frederick Goerke as postmaster.
