manufacturer, b. Fond du Lac. He was educated in German-English academies. In 1877 he settled in Milwaukee, and in 1882 joined the Gender and Paeschke Manufacturing Company, which in 1909 became the Gender, Paeschke and Frey Company. He was secretary and treasurer of this firm (1883- 1935), president (1935-1936), and chairman of the board (1936-1937). His son, FRANK ARMIN FREY, b. Milwaukee, was graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (B.A., 1912). He traveled in Europe inspecting metal stamping and enameling enterprises before joining the Gender, Paeschke and Frey Company in 1913. He was employed in various capacities with that company and was its president and treasurer (19 38-1945).
