Freehoff, William Adolph 1889 - 1950 | Wisconsin Historical Society

agriculturist, businessman, politician, b. La Crosse. He attended the Univ. of Wisconsin (1910-1914), and in 1914 settled on a farm near Waukesha. A Republican, he was state assemblyman (1921-1924), and state senator (1939-1946). In the legislature he devoted his interests to farm and dairy legislation, and was for several years chairman of the senate education and public welfare committee. In later years he was engaged in the insurance business, and served as president of the Waukesha County Life Underwriters. He was at one time field editor of the Wisconsin Agriculturist.
