Evans, Curtis Alban 1879 - 1947 | Wisconsin Historical Society

surgeon, professor, b. Wales, Waukesha County. He graduated from the Univ. of Michigan (B.A., 1902; M.D., 1904). Returning to Wisconsin, he settled in Milwaukee where he taught anatomy at the Wisconsin College of Physicians and Surgeons (1904-1912) and was associate professor of surgery at Marquette Univ. Medical School (1912-1925). He was chief of staff of the Milwaukee Hospital (1928-1941). Evans was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and was president of the Milwaukee Surgical Society (1922) and the Milwaukee Academy of Medicine (1922).
