Crowe, Mickey (1958 - )
Mickey Crowe set the Wisconsin boys' high school basketball scoring record in 1975, a record not broken until 1993; he scored 2724 points during his high school career. Born in 1958, he played for JFK Prep in St. Nazianz, 1971-1975, where he was noted for his accurate long shots before there was a three-point line. He attended several colleges, but never achieved a college or professional career. In the 1980s he moved to Washington, D.C., where he became obsessed with President Reagan, following him and witnessing John Hinckley's attempt on the president's life on March 30, 1981. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame October 3, 2009.
