Camp, Hoel Hinman 1822 - 1909
banker, b. Derby, Vt. In 1852 he moved to Wisconsin, settling in Milwaukee where he soon became a teller and later cashier in the Farmers' and Millers' Bank. In 1863 the bank was reorganized as the First National Bank of Milwaukee with Camp serving as cashier (1863-1882) and president (1882-1893). In 1894 he organized the Milwaukee Trust Company and was its president until 1901. He was an organizer of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. (1857), and a director of the Northwestern National Insurance Co. (1874, 1878). Active in local charities, he was an organizer of the (Milwaukee) Charity Relief Association (1886), and for many years played a leading role in the Milwaukee Associated Charities. J. S.
