lumberman, businessman, b. Bangor, Me. In 1862 he moved to Oshkosh and operated a sawmill there until 1865, when he moved to Muskegon, Mich. In 1877 he returned to Wisconsin as head of the Bradley Brothers Lumber Co., which had its main office at Tomahawk. He organized the Tomahawk Land and Boom Co., built a dam at Tomahawk, and in 1888 erected the first sawmill there. He was the principal stockholder of the Marinette, Tomahawk & Western R.R. He also established a department store in Tomahawk and was a stockholder in several lumber companies. Noted locally for his philanthropy, he donated sums of money to Tomahawk schools and churches. G.
